Jan L. Watkins, JD, MSW, is a coach and psychotherapist whose practice integrates traditional and nontraditional modalities, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other energy psychology techniques. Jason Parker, PhD, MHt, has worked in the field of education for over 30 years. He taught psychology at Virginia Tech and is currently serving as a senior lecturer of psychology for Old Dominion University. He is a former research fellow at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he investigated the effects of stress on cancer and cardiovascular disease. A psychologist and counselor who has worked as a master hypnotherapist for over 20 years, he has over 1,000 hours of experience in hypnotherapy and past-life regression therapy. A long-time member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, Dr. Parker helped found the hypnotherapy services offered through the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa, where he was a staff therapist for over ten years.
A popular speaker and teacher at A.R.E., he is known for his lively, interactive presentations and depth of knowledge as well as his sense of humor. He has trained in hypnosis, releasement, and regression techniques with Dr. Helen Crawford, Dr. William Baldwin, Rev. Judith Baldwin, Dr. Allen Chips, and others, and studied hypnosis and the treatment of pain at Virginia Tech. Dr. Parker has shared his expertise in psychology and hypnosis as a commentator and analyst on numerous local and national radio and television programs.

Jean Paul (J.P.) Amonte, DC, CMT, ChT
Dr. J.P. Amonte is the Lead Clinician for the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa in Virginia Beach. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer West Chiropractic College in March, 2011. With a Cayce-based philosophy, he integrates healing techniques including manipulation, massage, therapeutic exercise, and nutritional counseling in his Cayce/Reilly-based Chiropractic and Manual Therapy sessions. “True holistic healing must address the body, mind, and spirit of the individual.” A lifelong student of the Edgar Cayce readings, Dr. Amonte has been an A.R.E. member since he was five years old. He began intensively studying the readings after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2002 with a major in psychology and a minor in biochemistry. He then graduated from Cayce/Reilly School of Massage in 2004 and currently serves as faculty there, teaching several classes. In April 2006, he was trained by Dr. Allen Chips at the A.R.E and received his certification in hypnotherapy. He is a regular presenter at the Survey Lecture in Virginia Beach headquarters. Jerry Lazarus, MA, is a spiritual counselor, author, and speaker who presents for A.R.E. nationwide. He has a master's degree in religion and meditation, and lectures on meditation, dreams, and other topics. The dream columnist for Venture Inward magazine, he has published numerous articles and also teaches a course on dreams at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Duke University. Jim B. Tucker, MD, is Bonner-Lowry Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. He is continuing the work of Ian Stevenson at the UVA Division of Perceptual Studies with children who report memories of previous lives. His first book on the research, Life Before Life: A Scientific Investigation of Children’s Memories of Previous Lives, has been translated into ten languages. Jim Dixon was actively involved in the work of the Association for Research and Enlightenment from 1956 until his death in 2011. Moving from Texas to Virginia Beach in January 1993, Jim joined the A.R.E. headquarters staff, serving as Manager of the Search for God study group department for 3 years before expanding his duties to become a Representative for the Search for God Program and as roving ambassador for the A.R.E. Jim traveled throughout the United States, Canada and other countries, offering lecture programs, conferences, seminars and retreats based upon the readings. He also served as a member of the A.R.E. Joan Ranquet is an animal communicator, equestrian, and author of Communication with All Life, Revelations of an Animal Communicator, and several other titles on this topic.
