PLEASE NOTE: If you are driving to the A.R.E. coming from the North or West using Interstate 64 East and passing though the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel  (HRBT), expect a back-up at the tunnel of at least 30 minutes or more at any time of day, but especially at rush hour, during bad weather, or on Fridays. If you are driving on a Friday for a conference or event starting Friday night, please be sure to allow an hour or more of additional travel time.
