Jim Dixon was actively involved in the work of the Association for Research and Enlightenment from 1956 until his death in 2011. Moving from Texas to Virginia Beach in January 1993, Jim joined the A.R.E. headquarters staff, serving as Manager of the Search for God study group department for 3 years before expanding his duties to become a Representative for the Search for God Program and as roving ambassador for the A.R.E. Jim traveled throughout the United States, Canada and other countries, offering lecture programs, conferences, seminars and retreats based upon the readings. He also served as a member of the A.R.E. Board of Trustees for two terms.
