Media Are Invited: Best-Selling Author Pam Grout Speaking at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.
Virginia Beach, Va. – For local media interested in showcasing the people and events who make Hampton Roads strong and healthy in mind, body, and spirit, Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. invites you to experience Pam Grout’s presentation Saturday, May 18 from 1:30 - 2:40 p.m. during the Do What You Love, Love What You Do Conference. Its 70 minutes during which you are sure to be inspired to break out of your ordinary. Write and post about the experience—or not; either way, we think you (and thereby our community) will benefit.
Pam has decades of experience as a writer of nearly all forms. A New York Times best-selling author, world-traveler to all continents for National Geographic, and motivational speaker whose recent titles include E-Squared and Thank and Grow Rich. Little could prepare Grout for the fateful direction her personal story would take last fall. There’s no way to ease into it. Last fall, Pam’s only daughter, Taz, died in a car accident. “If anything, I’ve learned death isn’t the end of a relationship,” Pam reflected, “Rather, it’s an invitation for a different type of relationship.” Grout also channeled her energy into creating Taz Grout’s 222 Fund, which awards people, businesses, and organizations who are doing “quiet, kind things for the underdog.”
“It is impossible not to be inspired by Pam, her story, her energy, and her perspective” said Jennie Taylor, A.R.E.’s Director of Marketing. “Pam is one of the few who practices what she teaches with fierce love. We are honored to have Pam speaking here at our organization’s headquarters.”
Cameras are not allowed, but following Pam’s program a video of her presentation will be available for your use. To arrange a one-on-one interview with Pam, please call 757-457-7247, or email jennie@edgarcayce.org.
Pam Grout is a New York Times bestselling author of 19 books, two screenplays, a live soap opera, and a TV series. Her articles have been featured in multiple publications from The New Age Journal to The Washington Post. Her most recent book is Art & Soul, Reloaded: A Year-Long Apprenticeship to Summon the Muses and Ignite Your Daring, Audacious, Creative Side.
An excerpt from Art & Soul, Reloaded:
“Don’t face reality. Create reality! E-Squared could best be described as a lab manual with simple experiments to prove once and for all that reality is malleable, that consciousness trumps matter, and that you shape your life with your mind. Rather than take it on faith, you are invited to conduct nine 48-hour experiments to prove there really is a positive, loving, totally hip force in the universe. Yes, you read that right. It says prove. The experiments, each of which can be conducted with absolutely no money and very little time expenditure, demonstrate that spiritual principles are as dependable as gravity, as consistent as Newton’s laws of motion. For years, you’ve been hoping and praying that spiritual principles are true. Now, you can know. E-Squared proves the following: 1. There is an invisible energy force or field of infinite possibilities. 2. You impact the field and draw from it according to your beliefs and expectations. 3. You, too, are a field of energy. 4. Whatever you focus on expands. 5. Your connection to the field provides accurate and unlimited guidance. 6. Your thoughts and consciousness impact matter. 7. Your thoughts and consciousness provide the scaffolding for your physical body. 8. You are connected to everything and everyone else in the universe. 9. The universe is limitless, abundant, and strangely accommodating.”
Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is simply to help people around the world change their lives for the better through the ideas and information found in the Cayce readings. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. Visitors from around the world come to experience conferences featuring speakers on subjects like ancient mysteries, holistic health, and spiritual development. The campus is also home to Atlantic University, which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Studies and Leadership Studies) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
