As we prepare for Thanksgiving season, it seems like a good time to look at what we might have to be especially thankful for. Hopefully, you have plenty of personal matters to be thankful for – family, friends, health, some degree of financial security, to name a few possibilities. Now let’s look at the Cayce work and see what we might have to be thankful for as a collective. In the above reading, Cayce encourages us to be grateful that we have the opportunity to be alive at this time. If you turn on your television, or browse the news on the internet or even social media, gratitude might not be your first feeling! The current state of affairs seem concerning. We are divided as a people on so many issues. Civility seems like a thing from fairy tales. What could Cayce have possible meant by being “happy of it, and give thanks daily for it”?

Perhaps there’s a clue in our being “a part of the preparation for the coming influences of a spiritual nature that must rule the world”. At least in this sentence, we are told that we might not be completely crazy in feeling things aren’t exactly spiritual yet! First of all, how would we define spiritual? I’d say it has to do with oneness, in thinking of the good of the whole, over the individual. Non-spiritual would then be defined as selfishness, the benefiting of one at the detriment of another. It has always seemed to me that selfishness and greed have the seeds of their own destruction within itself. Greed and selfishness just don’t seem sustaining. It eventually has to come to an end. So perhaps there’s hope in that we are alive at the time of the death throes of the selfishness & greed cycle. There does appear to be a growing consciousness that humanity has to move towards a more sustainable way of living on the earth. And sometimes it takes desperate times to finally try new things.

As a regressionist, I come into contact almost daily with the guide level of consciousness. This level of consciousness has to do with the soul and the infinite. Time is not seen as linear. When we plan a lifetime, it is from the soul level, not the ego level. The ego is trapped in the finite and as long as we stay “landlocked” in the ego mind, it is very easy to lose hope. Cayce actually defined hopefulness, not as a reason based belief, but as “communion with higher levels of consciousness”. So from this timeless view, the greed & selfishness cycle has predominated for thousands of years. It is just the dawn of a new cycle of hope, and we are all the chosen ones that give this shift its best chance at fruition. I oftentimes think of this time in parallel to the American Revolution. I’m sure the early settlers didn’t always feel hopeful that this country would ever break free of the tyranny of the English monarchy and actually experience a type of “freedom”. But that evolution/revolution did indeed happen over the blood, sweat and tears of our forefathers and foremothers. So perhaps we are all the Nathan Hale’s and the Martha Washington’s of the Spiritual Revolution?! In years to come, perhaps there will be statues to commemorate your and my valiant efforts to birth this New Age. Our great great grandchildren may marvel at how we choose to incarnate in times when people used to kill each other! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to remember that as a distant memory from our barbaric past?

So this Thanksgiving season, let’s give thanks on the deepest levels of our souls that we are here at this momentous time to put the greed cycle to bed and be part of the birth of the New Age of hope and joy. Let us all make room in the manger at the inn as hope is birthed, once again, into the world. In those 2000 years, there certainly has been an evolution from the individual Christ consciousness to a more and more collective Christ Consciousness. I’m glad you chose to incarnate in these “interesting times” and are doing your part in the awakening!
