The Spirit of Autumn Arrives at
Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.
Virginia Beach, Va. – The Association for Research and Enlightenment’s (A.R.E.) fall conference calendar offers many opportunities for people to explore, deepen, and advance in mind, body, and especially, spirit.
October 5–8, the association’s popular Annual Ancient Mysteries Conference explores the latest discoveries in the fields of prehistory, mythology, lost civilizations, and the mystical wisdom of ancient cultures from the Egyptians to Arthurian England and beyond. Why should you care? Because your soul was there, according to John Van Auken, director of the Edgar Cayce Foundation. “Latent within you are all the memories and skills your soul possesses from those ancient times,” Van Auken explains, “lost knowledge waiting to be found.” This conference stimulates the deeper mind to awaken to this incarnation. The conference programming kicks off Oct. 5, as Van Auken presents Mayan, Toltec, Aztec Vision of Soul Life. This program will be livestreamed; and available on-demand thereafter. In addition to Van Auken, featured researchers include James Vieira, Erich von Däniken, and Laird Scranton. Erich von Däniken discusses past visitations by extraterrestrials, and the consequences of mankind’s mistaken reaction. Investigative cosmologist Laird Scranton reveals the story of northern Scotland’s lesser-known megalithic sites on Orkney Island. Additional speakers include Dr. Maureen Clemmons; Andrew Collins; Lora Hunter Little, EdD; and Edward T. Martin. On Oct. 7 from 4 – 5 p.m., there will be a Speaker and Author Reception and Book Signing giving attendees a chance to meet the speakers, ask questions, and get their books autographed.
Just ahead of the holiday season, a weekend strengthening your inner voice may be in order. November 10-12, A.R.E. presents its Annual Psychic Development Conference: Mastering Your Natural Psychic Abilities. This psychic training course gives the tools needed to awaken and apply innate psychic abilities— Edgar Cayce called intuition an innate talent of the soul. Gain guidance to put those insights into action as part of your daily life to make decisions and choices based on your best spiritual interest. Train with renowned psychics and intuitives including Robert Ohotto, Carol Ann Liaros, Kevin Ryerson, Shelley Kaehr, Mary Roach, and Cindy Griffith! Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is to create opportunities for profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in the Edgar Cayce material. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. The campus is also home to Atlantic University which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Psychology and Leadership Studies) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
