Psychic Fair, Holiday Gift Bazaar, Used Book Sale, Food Drive, and More! – All Happening in November at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.
Virginia Beach, Va. – Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. is hosting a variety of activities in preparation for the upcoming holidays including a food drive to help those in need. All events are open to the public and most are free or have free components, like the lectures and workshops at the Psychic Fair on Nov. 19, or the Conscious Community Lecture on Nov. 16. The Spirit Message Circle (Nov. 17) helps participants connect with loved ones on the other side, and the Gift Bazaar and Used Book Sale are perfectly timed for holiday shopping.
Planning a visit? Bring non-perishable food items for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore to save $1 per reading during the Psychic Fair. Collection containers are available throughout their campus through Nov. 21, and the Foodbank is asking for canned fruits, vegetables, pasta sauce, peanut-butter, tuna, beans, soup, or boxed cereal, pasta, oatmeal, rice, baby formula, baby food, diapers, and baby wipes.
Through the end of December, the A.R.E. Library is having a buy-one-get-one free sale with book prices starting at $1! Selections include rare books, periodicals, novels, cookbooks, craft books, magazines, CDs, and more.
To learn more about any of these events, visit EdgarCayce.org, or follow them on Facebook at Facebook.com/edgarcayce. And don’t forget to stop by the Leaping Lizard Café while you’re on their campus for a healthful, organic lunch!
Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is simply to help people around the world change their lives for the better through the ideas and information found in the Cayce readings. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. Visitors from around the world come to experience conferences featuring speakers on subjects like ancient mysteries, holistic health, and spiritual development. The campus is also home to Atlantic University (AU), which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Psychology and Leadership Studies) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
