Pioneering Holistic Medical Doctor, C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD
Releases Blueprint for Holistic Healing Guidebook
Virginia Beach, Va. – World famous for his alternative therapies and pioneering founding of the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA), Dr. C. Norman Shealy, has released a new book, Blueprint for Holistic Healing: Your Practical Guide to Body-Mind-Spirit Health (A.R.E. Press, 2016) that is described as his most practical guidebook to date.
According to Shealy, when it comes to body, mind, and spirit, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, because the health of each relies on and contributes to the other. By integrating body, mind, and spirit through a view of holistic care, the whole can flourish. Building upon the psychic readings given by the father of holistic medicine himself, Edgar Cayce (1877-1945), this groundbreaking new book combines decades of clinical work and research with advice from Cayce readings to create a blueprint for healing that each of us can follow. It includes a variety of questionnaires for self-assessment throughout.
Dr. Shealy, a neurosurgeon, psychologist, international speaker, and researcher, has been at the forefront of alternative medicine and alternative health care for more than 30 years. He was first introduced to the work of Edgar Cayce, in the early 1970s. Cayce was the inspiration for his transformation from traditional medicine to holistic alternative therapies with revolutionary ideas including the concepts of Dorsal Column Stimulation and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), both now used worldwide. He holds ten patents for innovative discoveries in medicine, has published over 300 articles, and is the author of 29 books, including the best-selling Energy Medicine and Medical Intuition. He is the co-founder of the American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition, and perhaps the world’s foremost medical expert on medical intuition.
Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The organization’s publishing arm, A.R.E. Press, has been printing books since 1931, and over time has added DVDs and CDs to its catalog, with the mission of supporting the work of the A.R.E. and its goal of helping people change their lives for the better. A.R.E. Press publishes topics related to the work of Edgar Cayce in the fields of spirituality, intuition, psychic abilities, ancient mysteries, philosophy, comparative religious studies, personal and spiritual development, and holistic health.
